Unveiling of the interior of the KISS Cityjet!

The exterior of the new KISS will be familiar to many trainspotters. It is environmentally friendly, innovative and versatile. We’re talking about the new KISS double-decker multiple unit that was built for ÖBB Personenverkehr AG. And now the big moment has arrived. At InnoTrans, its doors will finally open and its interior will be presented to the general public for the first time ever. Travellers can expect to find comfortable seats, automatic air conditioning, power sockets in every row of seats, free WLAN, screens with real-time information and video surveillance. Low-floor entrances ensure barrier-free access, while multifunctional zones next to the entrances/exits provide customisable stowage space. Areas with height-adjustable side wall tables are available for travellers in wheelchairs.

Don’t miss the presentation of the first KISS as part of a framework agreement for 186 multiple units. Depending on the customer’s needs and the length of the route, the trains can be combined with up to six carriages. They come in four versions: four- and six-part units for local transport, six-part units for main-line services and five-part units for the CAT airport train. In future, the trains will supplement ÖBB’s modern, passenger-friendly, environmentally friendly Cityjet and Railjet fleet for local and long-distance passenger transport.
